All Flat Irons Are Not Created Equal
When considering buying a new flat iron or hair straightener, there are a few things to consider to ensure you get the most of your money. Investing in a quality hair straightener will save you time and money in the long run.
The single most important factor of a good flat iron are the plates. Try to find one with tourmaline or ceramic plates (or a blend) because these are the gentlest on your hair and will cause the least damage. Even though other materials may be less expensive, they will not provide the results you’re looking for.
Second, look for temperature controls. Many flat irons are not equipped with an adjustable temperature control but rather have an “on” and an “off” setting. Being able to change the temperature not only provides convenience, but it will allow you to use the lowest possible heat setting for your hair (which will cause less damage). Fine hair requires a lower temperature setting than thick hair and course hair requires a much higher temperature setting than silky hair. Using an incorrect temperature will create less-than-desirable results on your hair and potentially cause more damage than necessary.
Third, the shape of a flat iron will affect the styles you can produce with the tool. A thinner hair straightener offers more versatility than a wider, thicker hair straightener and will allow you to curl, flip as well as straighten. On the other hand, if you simply intent to straighten your hair each day, a larger (2 inch) flat iron may be more beneficial.
Depending on how often you plan to use your flat iron, you may also want to consider the heating time. If you plan on using it for professional purposes or on a daily basis, you will want a one with a short heat up time. If your flat iron is reserved for special occasions only, the heating time will not play a big role in your decision. The length of cord is another convenience feature to consider. A longer cord is essential for hair straighteners which will serve a professional purpose and a nice feature when using it on a daily basis.
Keeping the features describe above in mind when researching which flat iron is right for you, will help you make the right decision for your lifestyle.

Sectioning Your Hair Will Improve Results With A Flat Iron
When styling your hair, there are a few small tricks to give you flawless results, seven days a week. The most important is to section your hair, no matter what styling process you use. No matter if you’re working with a hair dryer or a flat iron, sections allow you to focus on smaller pieces of hair.
When sectioning your hair, begin working with the bottom portion of your locks. To do this, pull all of your hair except for a small portion up and secure it with a rubber band or clip. This may cause your hair to crease or have a funny kink in it, but you can get rid of that later. Once your hair is up, you can proceed to style the exposed section with a blow dryer and round brush, curling iron or flat iron. After you’re finished styling that layer of hair, release a second layer from the pulled back ponytail. Repeat the styling on this section. Continue this process your hair is fully styled.
A few tips to remember, if you are working with a flat iron to get your hair straight or to produce tight curls, use smaller sections. This is the same if you are using a curling iron to create tight curls as well. If you want looser curls with either tool, use bigger sections.
Sectioning off your hair may seem like a lot of work and time consuming, however, it could save you time in the end. By creating smaller sections of hair to work with, your flat iron, curling iron or blow dryer will be able to work with your hair in less time and this will save you time and do less damage to your hair than repeatedly running the same styling tool through your locks over and over again.
This hair sectioning process is an easy way to instantly improve your styling results. In the long run, it will save you time and also keep your locks damage free.

Flat Irons Make A Versatile Tool
The term “flat iron” is most commonly associated with straight, silky, shiny hair. However, flat irons are a terrific and versatile tool that can add volume, body and curls to any type of hair. The processes described below will help you achieve any of these styles.
First, to curl your hair with a flat iron, you will obviously need a flat iron. Investing in a quality flat iron such as a Chi hair straightener will give you better results. Comb through your hair until it is smooth and tangle free. Part it where you naturally would and divide it into smaller sections that will be easier to work with. Depending on how many curls and what size of curls you’re after, you should choose larger or smaller sections. Thicker hair or if you desire tighter curls will require smaller sections; finer hair or if you desire looser curls will require bigger sections.
Next, start on the underside of all of your hair. Take a section of hair and begin just like you would if you were straightening your hair with the flat iron at the roots. Then, as you pull the flat iron down the shaft of your hair, twist it (60 to 90 degrees) to achieve the curled part of your look. Pull the flat iron slowly through your hair, keeping it at an angle – the slower the better to get the curl you want. Right before your pull the flat iron out of the hair, twist it all the way around to ensure that you don’t have any straight ends to ruin the curls.
After you pull the flat iron all the way through the section, wrap the curled hair around your fingers to reinforce the shape. Allow the hair to cool before moving, it will have a very tight look, but it will fall later. You may want to spritz the section with a light, volumizing hair spray for better hold.
Repeat these steps for all the sections of hair on your head. Once you have curled your whole head of hair, shake out the tight curls and tousle your tresses to give them a looser, natural look. For more volume and body, you can backcomb a few sections of your hair at the crown of your head.
Curling your hair with a flat iron is easy and provides silky, shiny, fizz free curls all with one, versatile tool.

Get A Sedu Hairstyle For Yourself
The first part of your body that gives off an impression when you first meet someone is your face. However, no matter how beautiful and presentable one’s face is, if it is framed by an unsightly mane of hair, one’s whole look is shot. The hair is dubbed as one’s crowning glory, so make sure that your hair is something fit for royalty.
It is easier to make an impression on other people if we have a healthy and beautiful hair to help us with our confidence and our overall appearance. Unfortunately, too much styling and chemicals can greatly damage one’s hair. Luckily, with modern technology, you can now reap the benefit of hair care using hair irons to create sedu hairstyle.
Traditionally, hair care using hair irons was considered a no-no. In fact, any hair care gadget that uses heat to style the hair was long considered a nuisance rather than a blessing. The hair becomes easier to use and malleable because of the heat that comes from a ceramic flat iron, and this is the basic principle of work. The hair becomes brittle and damaged over time with the use of such heating gadgets as these ceramic flat irons and blow dryers.
It was learned that the hair over time got “cooked” by these heating processes and therefore rendered the hair unhealthy, unmanageable and unsightly. Our hair is made out of small things called follicles, and they look just like tiny scales. When the hair strand is healthy, the follicles are tight and closed, giving the hair strand a smooth and shiny feel and look. When the hair is unhealthy, these follicles are open and loose, making the hair’s moisture escape, resulting in dry, dull and hard to manage hair. This is where the hair care using hair irons come in.
The low and gentle heat is used to manipulate the fine structure of our hair and the follicles by the ceramic hair irons of today. It is interesting that you can use these hair irons to restore the healthy look to your health by the heat they emit, since it is used to break molecular bonds of your hair.
