Kinds Of Hair Extensions

It can be amazing to look at our favorite celebs try on different colors cuts and styles on their hair. It makes us want to be able to do the same. Many find it impossible because unlike these stars, we can’t afford our very own stylists to change our looks whenever we want to. Luckily, we now have these tools like clip in hair extensions.

We are all thankful to whoever thought of the entire hair extension concept. It is now easy for people to switch to different hairstyles. There are so many types of hair extensions nowadays from semi-permanent to the temporary ones. Some require professional assistance for its adhesion while others are DIY. It’s practically accessible to everyone as it comes in all shapes, sizes and prices as well.

A clip in hair extension is probably the most basic and convenient type there is. It is a temporary extension so it costs less. A lot of people also prefer to use this because it is easy to install. Putting on these clip-on hairs need not be done in a salon. The procedure can be done at home.

Another type is hair weaving. The procedure for this type is that the artificial hair is braided to the natural hair. This procedure is tedious and cannot be done at home. It is a lot more permanent but the downside to this method is that it always needs to be adjusted as the hair to which it is attached grows longer. It can cause breakage and damage your hair.

Heat sealing is also another method of applying hair extensions. In this case, the synthetic hair is still braided with natural hair. Then in order to make it more permanent low temperature heat is applied to seal the bond. this type lasts for around four months.

Micro link extensions are a more improved version of the clip in hair extension. Here, micro links are used to attach the artificial hair to the natural hair. This causes less damage to the natural hair.
