How does an “Apple” pick the perfect swimsuit? I’m sure you know we don’t mean a fruit. We’re talking about one of the common body types. How can you tell if you have an Apple shape? Just take your body measurements and compare your bust and hip numbers. A 3″ or greater difference between the two will confirm it.

To look like an hourglass, what kind of swimsuits should you purchase? Finding one that will de-emphasize your bust and draw the eyes down to your bottom, that would work. It’s also important to conside your cup size. In most cases, Apple shapes have larger breasts sizes…C cup, D cup and larger is the norm. So the bikini top must provide both great support and draw attention away. Sounds very hard. However, it’s not that hard if you know what to look for.

Apple shapes look good in Halter and Underwire tops. Both provide support and shape for large busts. Either remove the padding or purchase Underwire tops without them. You don’t want to appear even bigger than you are. You would be drawing attention to your bust which is not the effect you want. There is a special style of Halter called a Banded Halter. This style has a wide fabric “band” going all around under the bust which adds more support than the typical Halter top. Also, de-emphasize by choosing dark solid colors.

Choosing embellishments and lots of fabric on the bottom will help to draw the eyes down there. When we mean fabric, we’re talking about avoiding the tiny string bikinis. Your hips will look slimmer if you choose a string bikini. The Apple shape should try to make her hips look a little curvier. You can’t go wrong in choosing a hipster bottom for that effect. For color, bright solids and patterns are the ones to choose (patterned bottoms and colored tops are ideal). Want some ideal bottom choices? Look for ruffles, ruching, shirring, rhinestones, beads, and metal rings.

So don’t fear or shy away from picking out a real hot swimwear.  You can definitely look and feel confident and sexy on the beach, at the pool, and wherever else you want to wear your sexy swimwear.
