The next time that you hit the mall or retail stores, carry coupons with you. Not only do you save money on the spot, but you can also save money for future shopping endeavors. Women are encouraged to sign up for email and mailing newsletters/fliers in order to receive coupons and shopping incentives. Discounts can range in dollar or percentage amounts and can be used for specific shopping days or events. Ask a sales associate or manager about receiving additional savings if they participate in “Family & Friends Day”, which is a campaign through various retails stores that allows customers to participate in employee discounts.

Save Your Receipt

Many times when women go shopping, we get so excited about our clothes and merchandise that we tend to forget to keep our receipts. There are several good reasons why women should keep their receipts after shopping. If you change your mind about the clothes or accessories that you bought, having a receipt allows you to get full credit for your purchased items. You can obtain the full amount for the merchandise as well as the correct payment instead of your money being locked into a store/merchandise credit. Also, if there is a price reduction, you can receive the difference of the amount by showing your receipt to the store manager or sales associate. Usually, stores have a 2 week/14 day policy, but we recommend calling in advance to verify store policies.

Shop Early

It’s always best to shop early to beat the crowds and get the best deals. Many stores have early bird special, especially during the holidays. You can shop and save extra a few hours earlier during the day. It is also a great opportunity to get the best pick of your clothes or accessories.

If you wait until the end of the day, chances are you may not find your correct size or favorite color for that particular item. Shopping early also gives you an opportunity to try on the clothes and shop at your leisure. This can reduce stress and enables you to shop better and pick out the right items
